How do you manage your busy schedule?
⠀ Time management is a hard thing to nail down, but we are here to give you some of our best productivity hacks to help you kill it this week.⠀ ⠀ ⠀ Katie’s Tips:⠀ ⠀
1. Google Calendar Mastery: ⠀ One of our favorites for time management is planning out everything on Google calendar. We don't just recommend scheduling just your work hours, but also your gym time, volunteer commitments, family time, chores, meal prep/cooking, & any other activities.⠀ ⠀ Putting all of your tasks on a calendar is a great way to make sure you make the most of your time.⠀ ⠀ If anything is on your to-do list (personal & business),it goes on the calendar. 2. Eliminate Distractions:
What are two of the biggest distractions that zap your focus and time away from your goals? Your phone and your people.⠀ ⠀⠀ I don’t know about you, but I just checked my iPhone analytics and I get an average of 121 notifications on my phone a day from apps to texts to emails⠀ ⠀ I let family and friends know when my serious work time is (on calendar) & I get back to them after that My phone is in earshot for emergency calls - but I can’t see the notifications pouring in. ⠀ You also have to set boundaries with others & yourself. Don’t drop everything for a text or email- they can wait. In fact, schedule on your calendar time to check texts and email. checking constantly is massively draining your focus and killing your time. Don’t bounce around.⠀ ⠀ 3. The Time Cube:
I learned this from The Skinny Confidential & I love it! ⠀ ⠀ Once you’ve got the first two tips down, get yourself a time cube (amazon $18). This is a timer with options of 5 min, 15 min, 30 min, and 60 min.⠀ ⠀ This is a great way to stay completely focused on one task at hand, which in turn boosts productivity.⠀ ⠀ With my cube, I like to set 60 min of copy writing time, 60 minutes of social media, then 30 minutes of exercise.
